2012 Magazine Images and PVA on wood
This work was created as a response to the use of advertisements plastered across billboards. To achieve this, I ripped out advertisements from magazines and using PVA, pasted them to a large wooden board. Before the image was completely dry, I repeated the process of peeling it off and sticking it back on several times.
The constant process of pasting and removing the advertisements reflects the use of billboards we see in everyday life. However, this artwork raises an issue regarding the works completion. Will this work ever be complete? The process in creating the work can continue on therefore linking to the way billboards are constantly updated in order to keep up with society.
